Since the start of 2020, so many people have been forced into lockdowns with gyms closing all over the country. To keep fit, many of us had no other choice than to start home workouts to keep fit while we kept in isolation.
For me it was the motivation of not being able to go to the gym and having a working environment where the people around you indirectly push you to do a workout.
At home you had to find ways to motivate yourself and with so many options out there to choose from, it was important finding the right online fitness program.
One of the best online fitness apps I came across during this time was the Fiit app. In this review I will give you some insight into my experience and what exactly you will get from the number 1# ranked fitness app.
Who are Fiit?

Fiit are an online fitness company that have created an app with the aim to give you the ability to have on demand home workouts. This includes classes, group work and personal training plans.
This app is for entry level to advanced – its not just for fitness junkies!
Here is what they have to say about themselves:
“Fiit was founded in 2017 by three friends with a vision to make the world’s best fitness classes accessible to everyone. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey — Fiit was created to help you keep progressing and pushing the boundaries of what you think you can do. And how good you can feel.
From the most in demand trainers and in-house DJs, to our team of developers and data scientists, we work with the smartest tech to make each workout an experience that’ll keep you coming back.”
How does it work?

Simple! The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android and can be downloaded for free.
Once you have downloaded, Fiit will ask you some simple questions so they can help individualise your experience while using the app! This includes your goals and current fitness level. See below:

Once answered, you will be prompted into signing up to the subscription. However I highly recommend you first try the 14 day FREE trial before signing up to see if the app is for you.
The subscription cost comes in yearly, quarterly and monthly at a reasonable costs, especially considering the amount of workout content you will gain access too and is always being updated weekly.
What do you get?
So let’s go into more detail in terms of the workout content you will actually gain access too.
Training plans
First thing I recommend you check out is training plans, as this is probably the best thing to follow if you are really wanting to get the most out of using the app. Training plans range from 2-6 weeks so you can see maximum benefits and results. Fiit’s 4 key training based plans all have multiple options within them. These include:
- General (mix of everything)
- Lose weight
- Flexibility
- Build Muscle
If you are taking the FREE 14 day trial, I recommend you take a 2 week training plan so you can decide to keep on with the app if you are happy with the results.

The good thing about this is that each of the training plans is completely adapted to your training level – advanced, intermediate, beginner or entry level. You can also change this preference anytime throughout your plan, so you won’t have to worry about struggling if you’re a complete beginner or if you find it too easy you can up level up for harder challenges.
The training plans include videos from fully qualified personal trainers, where you can stream from your phone or even airshare to your tablet or smart tv (depending on the device). These videos range from 25mis, 45min and 1hr. See examples below:

Class collections
Now you don’t have to follow the training plans, but you can select your own classes as you see fit and as they have very smartly included all the options for you so you can pick and choose when you wish, especially if you have a favourite class or personal trainer you really like.
The classes that interested me the most were combat, abs and dumbbells. If you have equipment such as dumbbells these work really well in the sessions they provide. See the class collection options below:

Live classes with Fiit Club
If you are training with friends, the Fiit Club can be great way to stay motivated and workout from home. These are live streams where sign up to the latest scheduled group classes, making ideal to train with your friends or family.
The Fiit tips page
The tips section is where all their blogs and tutorials are held. They also have all the information you need on how to use the app whether that be to access classes or connecting Fiit to your TV this is also where you can access the Fiit store and for all your customer service needs.
Monitor your stats and workouts
If you go to your Fiit profile page, you will be able to see your all-time stats, this includes:
- Minutes
- Kcal burnt
- Avg bpm
- How many classes you taken
From here you can also see your work out weekly overview to see how many classes you’ve done through the week, along with your active training plan to see how many classes and days you have left. This is a really good way to monitor how you’re using the app and to see what improvements are required.
Tracking devices [Extra]
An added bonus Fiit have created for you to train smarter and track all your metrics is with Fiit Device Lite or the Wahoo Tickr X which you strap around you while using the app. This is to help you challenge your personal best results and train with others on the leader board. These both monitor your heart rate and how many calories you’re burning. (The Wahoo Tickr X can track reps for strength training.
I recommend only doing this after you’ve done the 14 day FREE trial to make the most out of your experience using the app first.
