If you have ever heard of the Law of Attraction you will probably think it is some sort of mumbo jumbo and that is what I certainly felt when I first heard about it. However, it wasn’t until a friend at work recommended a book called ‘The Secret‘ to me which looks into this concept of manifesting your desires through a positive outlook. Once again I was very sceptical about the whole thing, but in actually fact once I started reading I couldn’t put it down and I started making action to change my life by being extremely positive in my behaviour and reaching my dreams. You can read how I used it here
Now you are probably here to find out if there are any boxers out there that are using the Law of Attraction and if it has helped them achieve their desires and achievements in the boxing ring. But first off, lets have a quick look at the concept below.
What is the Law of Attraction?
In a nutshell, the principle of the Law of Attraction is a way of living that requires you to change your frequency. When you do this, the Universe will pick up your signal and your life will change for the better.
For example, the frequency I mentioned above is basically the vibration of energy that your mind gives off. You can either operate at a high or low vibration, and each type will give you a specific result.
So for example, if you really want to win your next boxing fight, you need to visualize and see yourself winning. But you need to have positive energy and actions for this to become a reality. Most importantly you need to believe you will, if you don’t it will unlikely work for you. That’s where it can take a lot practice by starting small, but also you must also have big expectation when you use the technique.
Boxers who use the Law of Attraction
Here are four boxers I feel have used some sort of form of the law of attraction to reach their dreams and successes in life.
1. Jamie Moore
Moore is now a retired boxer who won British, Commonwealth and European champion titles as a professional. He is now a boxing coach who has stable of top fighters under him including the likes of former world champion and challenger Carl Frampton.
Jamie Moore came across the law of attraction when he read ‘The Secret‘ just after her retired from the sport. He himself was skeptical, but open-minded about how it could help him. In video with SecondOut, Jamie explains how it helped him:
“I remember when I very first read it…even if what they are telling you isn’t actually true, it just makes you more positive and have a better frame of mind. I just started to go with it and then good things started to happen.”
Check out Jamie talking about his experiences of using the law of attraction below.
2. Deontay Wilder
Yes, you’ve heard it here! The WBC Heavyweight World Champion the world Deontay Wilder has many times talked about how he has use visualization and the law of attraction to achieve his dreams. Wilder has been known to go on the record about using meditation and his mind to attract what he wants in his life as prepares for fight. Having won over 40 fights with over 40 knockouts his techniques seem to be helping him.
After his first victory against Ortiz he said:
“If you speak it, believe it, you will receive it…your mind is very powerful, the universe is very powerful. Speak things until it comes to you…and it shall be yours”
Watch below to see Wilder incredible mindset of using visualization.
3. Conor McGregor
Now I know he has only ever had one fight as a professional boxer, but MMA and UFC star Conor McGregor is a great example and one of the biggest advocates of using the law of attraction. McGregor first came a cross the law of attraction when his Sister recommend reading ‘The Secret’ to him. He himself like so many was Skeptical about the book and if it could actually help him. In actually fact this is the very concept which has made Conor McGregor arguably one of the biggest combat sport stars in the world!
McGregor has constantly talked about visualizing his dreams to make it a reality and for a while nothing seemed to be stopping him. He is one of the best examples of reaching the success you desire through practices of the law of attraction techniques.
Here is a really inspiring video of Conor talking about his achievements and use of visualization and the law of attraction.
4. Muhammad Ali
Now, I know Muhammad Ali never himself stated the use of the law attraction. But you simply cannot ignore some statements and quotes by ‘The Greatest’ which link closely with the manifestation and sending vibrations out to the universe to achieve your desires and dreams. Ali is an icon and its no wonder he achieved what he did in his life with his incredible mindset. Just read some of these quotes from the greatest around his belief in his dreams and what he wanted in his life:
“I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want.”
“It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.”
“I wanted to use my fame and this face that everyone knows so well to help uplift and inspire people around the world.”
